GITAM online counselling begins tomorrow

The admission will be based on the rank obtained in the GITAM Admission Test (GAT-2012).

Online counselling for admission into B.Tech programmes of GITAM University will be held from June 22 to 27. The exercise for M. Tech. programmes will be held on June 29 and 30. Counselling for admission into B.Tech. programmes will be conducted at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Bangalore. For M.Tech. programmes, it will held on GITAM campuses here and in Hyderabad, according to a press release from Admission Director K. Narendra on Wednesday. Counselling is being held in Bangalore for the first time.

The admission will be based on the rank obtained in the GITAM Admission Test (GAT-2012).

All arrangements are in place at the counselling centres and the university will give live updates through its website (www.gitam.edu) to ensure transparency in the admission process. More than 45,000 students from 22 States appeared for GAT-2012 conducted at 18 centres in the country from April 15 to May 5. The first 22,000 rankers are being called for B.Tech. counselling.

Fee concession

The top 10 rankers in GAT would get 100 per cent fee concession and the next 90 would be given 50 per cent concession in B.Tech.
