To implement PRC with 43% fitment, says Ananda Babu

The retirement age for Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) employees has been increased to 60 years and a decision was taken to implement P.R.C. with 43 % fitment for them, according to Minister for Tribal Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu.

The Minister held a review meeting with GCC officials and participated in the 60th anniversary celebrations of GCC at the VUDA Children Arena here on Monday.

Announcing the decision to enhance the retirement age limit of GCC employees on par with other State Government employees, the Minister also said the State Cabinet, chaired by the Chief Minister, has also approved the implementation of PRC with 43 % fitment for GCC employees.

He also announced that a decision was taken to enhance of salaries for contract employees from the present ₹ 5,500 to ₹12,000 and for daily employees from ₹ 3,000 to ₹ 6,000.

He said efforts would be made to fill the vacant posts in the corporation at least with outsourced employees and to provide housing loans to GCC employees. He announced that ‘Araku Instant Coffee’ would be launched in December this year.

Girjijan Cooperative Corporation managing director ASPS Ravi Prasad said the turnover of GCC has increased from ₹148 crore three years ago to ₹367 crore this year.
