GAT 2014 from April 17

Twenty-five per cent of seats were reserved for meritorious students from Karnataka for admission at Bangalore campus.

The online GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2014, for admission into GITAM University’s B.Tech., B. Pharmacy and M.Tech. programmes, will be conducted from April 17, according to a press release on Saturday. The test would be held at 36 centres across the country and a candidate can choose his or her test centre and date. The score would be known immediately after completing the test. Twenty-five per cent of seats were reserved for meritorious students from Karnataka for admission at Bangalore campus.

First rank holders of the Central and all State Board examinations held in 2014, equivalent to 10+2 would be given admission into the B.Tech. programme of their choice without appearing for the GAT if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.

Last date for submitting the application forms for the test is April 3 and the application forms are available at select branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank.

GITAM Admissions Director K. Narendra said the hall tickets can be downloaded from April 6 after booking the examination slot. Model test and other details of GAT 2014 are available on the university’s website www.gitam.edu.
