Minister for Infrastructure and Investment Ganta Srinivasa Rao hailed the National Mazdoor Union (NMU) of APSRTC for its contribution to the welfare of RTC workers during the last three decades.

At a meet organised at the Maddilapalem Bus Station here on Thursday to celebrate the victory of NMU in Visakhapatnam Region, he said that compassionate appointments for dependents of deceased workers in the RTC and allocation of Rs.100 crore to the corporation was a result of the efforts of the union.

NMU State president attributed the victory of the Employees’ Union (EU) at State-level in the recent elections to its ‘unholy’ alliance with Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU).

The NMU has been winning in Visakhapatnam Region continuously for the last three decades, which was a record. NMU had several achievements to its credit.
