Ganja worth 3 lakh seized, driver held

Ganja, weighing 200 kg and valued over Rs.3 lakh, was seized by the City Police at NAD Kotha Road junction on Tuesday.

According to Airport Zone CI V. Babji Rao, the mini van carrying the ganja was going from Paderu in the Agency area of the district to Tuni, when it was intercepted.

The driver, S. Ramesh, a native of Paderu, was allegedly in the habit of transporting ganja illegally in his vehicle. He was arrested in the past and released.

The accused was arrested and produced in court.
