Ganja seized, 4 arrested

Four persons were arrested and 45 kg of ganja was seized from their possession by the City Task Force (CTF) Police at Gokul theatre junction here on Sunday.

On a tip-off, the CTF team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (CTF) I. Chittibabu, apprehended G. Bhagavan of Dumbriguda mandal, Ashok Kumar, Ajay Singh and Subash of Ujjaini district in Madhya Pradesh while they were allegedly transporting the ganja.

The police also seized ₹ 46,870 cash and four mobile phones from their possession. It was revealed during the enquiry that the ganja was procured from the Agency areas for transport to Madhya Pradesh. The apprehended persons and the seized property were handed over to the Two Town Police for further investigation.
