A free old age home ‘Sadguru Seva Ashram’, run by Vijaya Sai Yoga Charitable Trust, at Ramajogi village near INS Kalinga on the way to Bheemunipatnam is rendering yeomen services to the neglected elderly citizens, deserted by their kith and kin.

The home was constructed on the land donated by R. Appala Raju and his wife R. Hymakumari with donations from philanthropists, says K. Appala Raju, yoga guru, who has been organising free blood donation camps and eye camps with various voluntary organisations in the city since 2004.

The ashram has been named after Shri Shirdi Sai and a temple has also been constructed on the campus. Poor and neglected senior citizens can call him on mobile no. 9848649067 to avail of the free accommodation. “The only condition is that they should be in a position to attend to their personal needs on their own,” he says.
