TDP cadre here on Sunday celebrated the high profile swearing in of N. Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister at Guntur. It was the much-awaited moment for the party men after the TDP had been in opposition for 10 years.
The celebrations ranged from cutting the cake in the neighbourhood to bursting crackers on the busy road opposite GVMC. For the foot-soldiers of the party it was a day they had been waiting for long.
Party man China Reheman celebrated the swearing in in a humble way expressing his happiness at Mr. Chandrababu Naidu taking up the reins in the newly-formed Andhra Pradesh. He gathered some of his followers, erected a shamiana and cut the cake in the One Town area. As a loyal party man, he put up a banner carrying the pictures of NTR, Chandrababu Naidu and Visakhapatnam South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar.
Another group of supporters led by Sanapala Panduranga Rao burst crackers on the road near GVMC and cut the cake under a tree.
