A “National forum and workshop on Infection control – 2017” was organised by Apollo Hospitals in association with the Indian Medical Association here on Saturday.
In all, around 150 delegates from various states like Assam, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and UP attended. A total of 20 specialists gave presentation on various aspects of infection control.
The knowledge and application of modern infection control practices in health care delivery have become critical in the wake of emerging multi drug resistant (MDR) and increasing antibiotic resistance. Regional CEO of Apollo Hospitals (AP and Telangana) Sandeep Chatrath explained about the role of infection control in providing quality health care and saving patients from Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI).
The scientific sessions and demo work stations focussed on sharing the best practices, demonstrating practical implementation tools and recent advances in the field of infection control.
