With restoration of power supply to domestic sector taken up on a war-footing, focus is now on industrial power supply, P Krishnaiah, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, said.

In view of the power shortage there has been no water supply to industries and we have supplied some water to the pharma units using gravity. This was to enable the units to get some water for clearing up activity. However, the actual work would begin in the process industries only after power and water is supplied.

He was upset with JN Pharma City for not supplying water to the units inside the SEZ despite water being released by the APIIC and ordered the officials to serve a notice on the Pharma City authorities. He was not happy with the explanation of no power supply for the purpose.

The restoration of power to pharma units in the region would be completed soon, he said.
