A flesh trade racket was busted and two persons were arrested by the City Task Force (CTF) police late on Friday night.
J. Balaji of Rajahmundry started a brothel at a flat in Muralinagar and had been running it for the past few months. The accused who had worked at a brothel in Hyderabad in the past, lured good-looking girls and hired them to work for him on contract basis, according to CTF Inspector Ch. Tirupathi Rao.
On a tip-off, the CTF team raided a lodge near Dabagardens late on Friday night and arrested a customer V. Rajesh and rescued a girl. Based on the information from Rajesh and the girl, police also raided a flat near Muralinagar, where the organizer Balaji was arrested and another girl was rescued.
The modus operandi of Balaji is to contact prospective customers on their mobile phones for his illegal business. The accused were handed over to the Two Town police and a case was registered under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1956, and investigation is on.
