First woman PDSJ of Vizag district takes over

P. Sri Sudha took over as Principal District and Sessions Judge of Visakhapatnam here on Monday. She is the first woman PDJ of the district. Ms. Sudha took charge from Judge of the ACB Court and PDJ in-charge G.V. Krishnaiah.

Ms. Sri Sudha came in place of Mr. Ch. Manavendranath Roy, who has been transferred as PDJ of Krishna district.

The Visakhapatnam Bar Association organised a function on Monday to bid farewell to Mr. Manavendranath Roy and other District Judges who have been transferred. Judge of the Family Court V. Venkateswara Rao, who has been transferred as SC and ST Special Court, Srikakulam, IV ADJ A. Radhakrishna, who has been transferred as II ADJ of Kadapa at Prodduturu, and the VIII ADJ Pundareekashudu were also felicitated.

Bar Association president Md. Habeebullah presided. Ms. Sri Sudha said she would continue the good work done by Mr. Roy and the traditions of Visakhapatnam courts. She would look after the welfare of advocates, litigant public and improve the legal services.

Senior advocates D. Dakshina Murthy, N.V. Badrinath, S.S.N. Raju, and AP Bar Council members S. Krishna Mohan, B.V.R. Murthy and Ch. Madhavilata spoke.

Last Saturday, the District Judicial Employees Association felicitated Mr. Manavendranath Roy.
