Fire Safety Week concludes at HSL

Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. conducted Fire Service Week from April 14 to 20. As part of the programme, fire-service personnel of HSL performed various fire-fighting drills and rescue operations on Wednesday in the presence of Rear Admiral L.V. Sarat Babu, Chairman and Managing Director of HSL, and employees with an aim to create awareness on fire safety.

Addressing the gathering, Rear Admiral L.V. Sarat Babu advised every individual to be vigilant and take all precautionary measures to avoid fire accidents.

He added that fire prevention was better than fire fighting. He stressed that safety should always be first and all personnel should ensure that personnel projective equipments like hand gloves, harness belts, safety boots and helmets should be used at their work places.
