A fire broke out at Annapurna Hospital at Dwarakanagar here on Monday. Fire Department personnel rescued patients who were trapped in the smoke that spread to all the floors of the building. There are no casualties.

The fire, which broke out in the ground floor around 7.45 a.m., was said to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. The smoke from the ground floor spread to all the floors through the AC duct resulting in suffocation of patients.
