Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced new unlimited plans under VDSL for broadband users, who require high speed, for the first time in Visakhapatnam district.

The VDSL (Very-hit-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line) technology provides data transmission faster than the Asymmetric Subscriber Dial Line (ASDL). The VSDL technology is extremely useful for Internet users like doctors, other professionals, home users who require high speed for download and also those who work from home.

There are three unlimited plans: 1745 VDSL, 2845 VDSL, and 3445 VDSL with bandwidth (download speed) up to 8 mbps, 16 mbps and 24 mbps respectively. There is no limit on the download/upload by subscribers and they will be given free e-mail IDs/space and a static IP address free for the last two plans and at an additional charge of Rs.1,800 a year for the 1745 plan.

Free calls

The subscribers can make 1,000 free calls (local and STD) to BSNL networks. The monthly charges for the three unlimited VDSL broadband plans are: Rs.1,745, Rs.2,845, and Rs.3,445 respectively.

“We provided the 3445 VDSL plan to the Regional Transport Authority recently and the transport officials have expressed their satisfaction with the high data transmission speed. Many other big organisations in the private sector like Varun Motors and NRI Hospitals have come forward to avail of the benefits under the unlimited plans,” says Assistant General Manager (CFA-Sales) B. Ravindra Kumar giving full credit to Senior General Manager R.M.M. Krishna for his initiative.

More details can be had from Mr. Ravindra Kumar over mobile No. 9440000109 or N. Rajababu (senior sub-divisional engineer) over 94413 77788.
