Faculty development programme begins

A week-long faculty development programme, being organised by the EEE Department of Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology, got under way at Jonnada in Vizianagaram district on Monday.

N.P. Patidar of NIT, Bhopal, who was chief guest at the inaugural session, said role of MatLab software was becoming prominent in the Electrical Power Systems and it was essential for training the faculty on those lines. Principal VV Rama Reddy said the college was always in the forefront in organising such awareness and development programmes for the faculty to keep them abreast of the emerging technologies.

S. Panda, professor from VSSUT, Burla and programme convener Y. Narendra Kumar spoke. Vice-principals Hari Babu Thammineni (admin) and S. Sridhar (academic) were present.
