Facilities for workers sought

CITU State vice-president Ch. Narsinga Rao demanded facilities and rights due to workers at SMS Pharma at Kandivalasa in Pusapatirega mandal of Vizianagaram district.

He was addressing a meeting in support of workers who had been protesting for three weeks demanding that 30 workers who were allegedly removed after registering a union be taken back into employment.

Mr. Narsinga Rao said ESI, PF and holidays should be given to workers.

District general secretaries of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam respectively Tammineni Suryanarayana and Govinda Rao who addressed the meeting pledged their support to the workers.
