Facilities for Girijan Colony

Facilities will be provided at the Girijan Colony at Srikrishnapuram in Ward one with a cost of Rs.30 lakh.

Roads, drains, toilets, anganwadi building, electric poles, taps etc. will be provided with a total cost of Rs.30 lakh catering to 185 families.

Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana visited the colony on Tuesday night along with officials. He asked all the women to become members of self-help groups.

A detailed project report will also be sent to the Union Government to take up housing under the slum improvement programme Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY).

Zone Commissioner P.M. Satyaveni and UCD Project Director Prema Swarupa Rani accompanied the commissioner.
