He directs them hold inspections along with Vigilance and Quality Control officials

Tribal Welfare Minister Pasupuleti Balaraju on Thursday directed the officials to take steps for the early completion of construction of houses taken up under various schemes in the district. He held a review meeting with officials of the Housing Corporation here. He reviewed the progress of Indiramma, Rajiv Gruhakalpa and JNNURM schemes. He expressed anger at the officials for extending the deadline for the completion of construction works instead of completing them as per schedule. He directed them to conduct inspections along with Quality Control and Vigilance authorities to check the quality of works that have been completed so far.

Mr. Balaraju directed the officials to conduct an enquiry into the allegations of misuse of funds in construction works in the tribal villages of Ammapeta, Ratnampeta and Kotturu and initiate disciplinary measures against the accused. He asked them to ensure that the beneficiaries were given bridge loans in time. Houses at Bheemunipatnam, Anakapalle and Sankaram should be hastened and provision of amenities at Rajiv Gruhakalpa Colony at Kommadi should be completed at the earliest.
