A former IAS officer, Tejavath Ramachandrudu, has decided to form Telangana Reconstruction Forum – an apolitical organisation to mobilise funds and resources for development of backward areas of Telangana after a new State is carved out.

An IAS officer of Odisha cadre belonging to 1984 batch, who moved to Hyderabad after his retirement sometime ago, has launched a campaign in support of Telangana on Facebook. Hailing from Warangal, Mr. Ramachandrudu, who did engineering from Osmania University and management course from IIM-Ahmedabad, told The Hindu on Sunday that strong advocacy was required for overall development of Telangana after it became the 29 State.

Asked whether he would plunge into politics, he said he did not have such an idea at present. However, he did not rule out joining politics if the situation warranted. “I am a free bird now and want to take an active part in public life to see my Telangana becoming a progressive State,” he said.
