For a travel enthusiast like Srikanth, the choice of accommodation and the accessibility to the travelpreneur in times of need is more important than anything else. But, he does not mind paying an extra price for the same.

With a professional tour manager, Indian meals and value added services attached to the escorted tours, the road show offered a wide range of international and domestic holiday options combining good deals and attractive packages. “However, the early bird catches the worm. Those who plan their holiday well in advance will always have an edge”, says Anand Menon, general manager of Kuoni.

Speaking on the evolving trends in tourism, he says, “Thanks to the film industry for promoting tourism. We have travel enthusiasts specially asking for off-beat destination such as Spain after watching the movie ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. This apart, Europe, Singapore-Malaysia and South Africa have become the most sought-after holiday spots among international options. When it comes to domestic destinations, Gujarat, North-East region, Bhutan, Ladakh and Kashmir tops the itinerary list.”

Anand says that the younger generation is keen to plan the holiday at least twice a year whereas the elderly wish to go on a long-trip once a year.

To satiate the travel pangs of the city itinerants, Kuoni-SOTC is opening its outlet at Asilmetta on Monday. Apart from the standard offers, one can also avail special package on the inaugural day.
