Taking a break from their monotonous work, employees of various IT companies in the city showed their latent talent by participating in a variety of cultural events organised in connection with the first anniversary celebrations of local chapter of IT Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITAAP) here at VUDA Children’s Arena on Saturday.
With great enthusiasm, employees working software companies and BPO and KPOs took part in large numbers in dance, skit, fashion show, photography, short film and comedy contests conducted as part of the annual event. The fashion show wearing traditional attires of different States was very impressive.
Prizes and certificates were distributed to all the participants and winners.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Chief Secretary and IT Advisor to Chief Minister J.A. Chowdary predicted a bright future for Visakhapatnam stating how the government was developing the city as fintech valley.
Beach festival
Stating that they were keen on improving bonding among IT employees, ITAAP State president Ravi Eswarapu said they would bring IT industry workers and academic institutes to a common platform and organise a beach cultural extravaganza sometime in October.
