Engg. admission notification released

Brushing aside objections from the Telangana government, the EAMCET Admissions Committee on Wednesday released the engineering admissions notification for certificate verification starting from August 7 and ending on August 23.

The list of helpline centres, distribution of ranks in the helpline centres will be available on the website https://eamcet.nic.in from August 5 onwards. Schedule for option entry, date of seat allotment and other related information will be announced later.

Certificate verification for Physically Handicapped, Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), Anglo-Indian, Sports and Games, National Cadet Cops (NCC) will also start on the same day but only at Sanketika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, in Hyderabad as per the schedule.

However, verification for candidates from OC, SC, BC and Minority categories will be done in all the helpline centres while verification of ST category candidates will be done at the designated centres only. The verification process will start from 9 a.m. everyday and on the first day the top 5,000 rankers will have to attend.

On the last day, minority candidates, who have not qualified or have not appeared for EAMCET and are seeking admissions in the minority institutions, have to attend. Wherever there is more than one helpline centre in one location, the ranks are distributed helpline centre-wise and they can be accessed https://eamcet.nic.in.

Candidates having secured 45 per cent (For OC) and 40 per cent (SC/ST/BC) in group subjects of Intermediate or its equivalent examinations only are eligible for admission as prescribed by AICTE.

Govt. decision final: TS

The Telangana Government has questioned the notification release and said the Government was supreme and all institutions under it have to follow the Government’s decision. It said as per the Section 18 (2) of the APSCHE ACT 1988, in any dispute between APSCHE and the Government the latter’s decision will be final.
