Encroachment demolished

The exercise was carried out following orders from the Municipal Commissioner

Part of the building abutting the BSNL Office at Dabagardens and being constructed in deviation of prescribed setbacks was demolished on Thursday following orders from Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu. BSNL had complained in the “Dial Your Commissioner” programme on last Wednesday that the apartment under construction was encroaching into its land.

Fined

Fourteen mechanic shops near Nerella Koneru at Allipuram were seized and were fined Rs.1,000 each consequent to the order of the Commissioner during his visit to Ward 30 on July 6, according to Assistant Medical Officer Srinivas. A fine of Rs.3,000 was imposed on a liquor shop for running a belt (unauthorised) shop near Leelamahal Junction.
