Education meet in December

Unesco and Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development and the Andhra Pradesh Government will hold Transforming Education Conference for Humanity here on from December 16 to 18. Over 250 delegates from 71 countries, Ministers from nine countries and 50 envoys were expected to participate in the conference, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said at a preliminary meeting held here with officials and Unesco representatives.

Coming after the successful conduct of IFR, Partnership Summit and other national and international programmes, it was yet another prestigious conference and all efforts must be made to showcase the culture and heritage of the State and the region, the HRD Minister said.

Archana Chowdhary and Nandini Chatterjee Singh of Unesco made a presentation on organising the conference.
