Maiden run of the train from Bhubaneswar will be on May 21
East Coast Railway will run Bhubaneswar-Rameswaram-Bhubaneswar Weekly Express with effect from May 21.
The maiden run of Train no. 8496 from Bhubaneswar will be on May 21 at 12 noon and reaches Rameswaram at 11.55 p.m. the next day.
Train no. 8495 leaves Rameswaram on May 23 at 6.30 a.m. and reaches Bhubaneswar at 6.40 p.m. on the next day, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Waltair Division of E. Co. R H.L. Luwang.
The train will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Gudur, Chennai-Egmore, Villipuram, Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam, Tanjavur, Tiruchirapalli, Karaikudi and Manmadurai.
The train to Rameswaram (8496) on Fridays will arrive at Vizianagaram at 5.45 p.m. and leaves at 6 p.m.
It will arrive at Duvvada at 07.45 p.m. and leaves at 7.47 p.m.
The train to Bhubaneswar (8495) on Mondays will arrive at Duvvada at 11.10 a.m. and leaves at 11.12 a.m., it arrives at Vizianagaram at 12.35 p.m. and leaves at 12.50 p.m.
The train will have 10 Sleeper coaches, one 2 AC coach, one 3 AC, four General coaches, two luggage-cum-brake van and a pantry car. There will be 360 berths in Sleeper Class, 15 berths in 2 AC and 25 berths in 3 AC. Passengers intending to travel by this train can avail of reservation facility.
Bhubaneswar – Visakhapatnam – Bhubaneswar (8411/8412) Intercity Express will remain cancelled on May 11 due to Non Interlocking work at Palasa.
An East Coast Railway press release issued on Monday regretted the inconvenience being caused to passengers due to the cancellation of the train.
