ECoR to run special trains to clear summer rush

A premium super fast express from Bhubaneswar – Yesvantpur will be run by East Coast Railway with effect from April 16. The summer special train will have 11 trips from either side.

Train no. 02845 Bhubaneswar- Yesvantpur premium super-fast express will leave Bhubaneswar on Wednesdays, from April 16 to June 25, at 12 noon and reaches Visakhapatnam at 6.30 p.m. and leaves at 6.50 p.m. to reach Yesvantpur on Thursdays at 11 a.m.

In return direction, train no. 02846 Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar premium super-fast express will leave Yesvantpur on Thursdays, from April 17 to June 26, at 11.30 p.m. and reaches Visakhapatnam on the next day (Friday) at 4 p.m. and leaves at 4.20 p.m. to reach Bhubaneswar on the same day at 10.45 p.m.

These pair of trains will stop at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta and Jolarpettai between Bhubaneswar and Yesvantpur, according to Tibikram Mishra, Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division.

The trains will have one Second class AC, four third AC coaches, 11 Sleeper class coaches and two Second class-sitting-cum-luggage vans and a pantry car.

SCR special

The South Central Railway (SCR) will also run a pair of premium express trains between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad to clear extra rush during summer season.

Train no. 02204 Secunderabad- Visakhapatnam premium express will leave Secunderabad on April 17 (Thursday) at 11 p.m. to reach Visakhapatnam on the next day at 8.50 a.m.

In the return direction, train no. 02203 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad premium express will leave Visakhapatnam on April 20 (Sunday) at 9.10 p.m. to reach Secunderabad on the next day at 7 a.m.

These trains stop at Rajahmundry and Samalkot and have one Second class AC, three Third AC coaches, eight Sleeper class coaches and two Second class sitting-cum-luggage vans.

Passengers have been asked to avail of these special train services.
