Drug traders’ guest house at Tirupati soon

Donations were being collected from chemists and others in the district for Sri Balaji Fedtap Chemist Bhavan of Federation of Drug Traders of AP at Tirupati and over Rs. 50 lakh was expected to be collected, president of the Visakha Chemists’ Welfare Society V. Sitaramaiah (Raja) said here recently.

The five-storied building, having conference halls, several suites, rooms and dormitories, all air-conditioned and with modern amenities, was being spruced up and Fedtap would soon start allotting accommodation, he said at a press conference along with secretary B. Srinivasa Rao and treasurer N. Koteswara Rao.

The district association instructed its members to provide medicines at a concessional rate to the organisers of medical camps. It was also conducting medical camps regularly in slums and other places for the benefit of the poor, and awareness camps for its members on the Drug Price Control Act of 2013 and recent changes and amendments made to the laws of drug trade, they said.
