4,216 drug administrators identified in the city limits

Joint Collector Pravin Kumar told officials concerned at a district coordination committee meeting that the mass drug administration to prevent filaria on January 28 effectively.

Tablets would be administered on that day to the entire population of the district.

District Medical and Health Officer R. Syamala said children under two years of age, pregnant women, and those suffering from diseases for a long time should not take the tablets.

Others have to take the tablets after consuming food.

District Malaria Officer K.V.S. Prasada Rao said 15,777 drug administrators had bee identified in the district. The tablets were being supplied to all places and that he can be contacted if there was a requirement. GVMC Senior Medical Officer Muralimohan said 4,216 drug administrators were identified in the city limits.
