₹1 lakh prize money for top 12 canines

Visakha Dog Show – 2017 will be held by Visakha Kennel Association (VKA) on September 17.

Speaking to media persons, VKA secretary P. Narayana Reddy said the show was open to dogs of all breeds from across the States. “The association is organising the event for the first time in Andhra Pradesh, post bifurcation. Viewing our Facebook page Visakha Kennel Association, entries have already been pouring in from Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Kolkata, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajamahendravaram and Kakinada,” he said. at the recent poster-launch programme held in the city.

Dogs registered with KCI are eligible to take part in the show which will be held at MGM Ground near VUDA Park from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last date for receiving filled in application forms is Wednesday. Entry forms can also be accessed through WhatsApp by contacting 08790917799 or 09949667799.

He said that more than 45 breeds of dogs are expected to take part in the show from across the States.

Application forms are available at Santosh Pet Needs located opposite Government Veterinary Hospital. Filled in application forms can also be sent to visakhakennelclub@gmail.com.
