National Academy of Construction A.P. Employees’ Welfare Association has demanded that NAC be divided in 58:42 ratio as per the reorganisation Act. Association president M. Raghunathbabu and secretary S.V.S.S. Ravi Kumar told reporters the 416 employees were facing problems relating to pay, extension, and non-clearance of bills.

The NAC was registered under the Societies Act of the Andhra Pradesh government and a Director-General was appointed by the Telangana government against norms.

The Director-General appointed by Andhra Pradesh B. Sam Bob was not even allowed to enter NAC premises where a building was constructed on 46.46 acres of land.

Mr. Ravi Kumar said the employees were not getting salaries for the last two months and were even denied advance.

Only on Mr. Sam Bob’s intervention some advance was provided. Bonus was not paid and extension was given only for three, four months while Telangana employees got it for two years.

He said three senior officers were transferred to Rajahmundry. He alleged that funds in the bank were being spent recklessly.

He demanded that division be carried out as per the statute and the staff be provided job security.
