Communist Party of India (Marxist) city committee secretary B.Ganga Rao has demanded that GVMC commissioner M.V.Satyanarayana invite representatives of all parties to discuss the revised City Development Plan (CDP) in the absence of an elected council. The discussions on the CDP should percolate to the lowest ward level so that the aspirations of the people could be reflected in the document. He said the agency entrusted with the formulation of CDP did not know anything about the city. He alleged that the agency had made recommendations which were detrimental to the interests of the city population.
