For the first time in the Indian Railways, digital dustbins (dustbins with LED display) were commissioned at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station by Divisional Railway Manager Chandralekha Mukherjee on Saturday. The main objective of the digital bins, each costing Rs.50,000, is to propagate the message of cleanliness and Swachh Bharat among rail users through LED display while making the surroundings more aesthetic. SDCM Yelvender Yadav, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent Sarat Babu, and Station Manager (gazetted) D. Panda were present.
