July 26, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 06:03 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The Dial Your Collector programme would be conducted every Monday, during the public grievances redressal programme, new Collector Pravin Kumar said on Monday.

Grievances regarding a government department would be taken up every week and officials of the department concerned would be present as the Collector receives the grievances over telephone between 10 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.

He made this announcement while addressing the district-level officers at the weekly public grievance redressal programme after taking charge.

Mr. Pravin Kumar wanted the officers and employees to speed up the process of solving people’s problems and the modern technology could be made use of for this purpose. Those performing well would be rewarded and action would be taken against those who failed to discharge their duties, he said.
