A two-day diabetic retinopathy screening camp, being organised by the Sanskruti Global School, in association with the Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, a charitable organisation, began at Chaitanya Public School, Ukkunagaram, CBSE Section, for all the diabetic patients, on Saturday.
The main focus is on detecting early cases of diabetic retinopathy using modern Fundus camera which detects even the slight changes in the retina.
After the screening, pictures of the retina reports will be taken to the hospital and analysed by the retina specialist and results will be sent to the individual for further treatment.
The camp will continue on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
