Dr. A.K. Bagga, Scientist E, Deputy Director General, ICMR, Department of Health Research, New Delhi, has assured that financial support for the Virology Project of Andhra Medical College (AMC), Visakhapatnam, would be continued.

Dr. Bagga visited AMC on Saturday. Dr. P.V. Sudhakar, Principal, AMC, convened a meeting of all the HODs of the college on the occasion.

Dr. Bagga conveyed the message of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, on the ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ and urged the faculty to rise to the call given by the Prime Minister. The Deputy DG of ICMR expressed satisfaction in the functioning of the Multi Disciplinary Research Unit (MRU) and the involvement of the faculty members in research work. He appreciated the Principal and Dr. A. Bhagya Lakshmi, Nodal Officer of the MRU.
