Demo on waste management

June 24, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 01:16 pm IST - Visakhapatnam:

A demonstration on waste management was conducted by secretary of Bapuji Rural Enlightenment and Development Society (BREDS) A. Ramakrishna Raju at the KDPM GVMC High School at Peda Waltair and the GVMC High School in KR Colony on Thursday. He said 70 per cent of the waste generated in an Indian home is organic in nature and should be used judiciously. The eco-friendly Kambha pot home composing method could be adopted as it helps in recycling the kitchen and garden waste, converts organic matter into manure and less volume would go to the landfills.
