Delegation from Thai Airways to visit Vizag soon

The Ambassador of Thailand in India Pisan Manawapat responds positively to the proposal to connect Vizag with Bangkok

The Ambassador of Thailand in India Pisan Manawapat has assured that a delegation of Thai Airways will visit Visakhapatnam to study the feasibility of starting flights from Visakhapatnam to Bangkok. He gave this assurance to Union Minister of State for HRD D. Purandeswari, who represents Visakhapatnam in the Lok Sabha in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Mr. Manawapat and Minister-Counsellor in Embassy of Thailand Sasirit Tangulrat called on Ms. Purandeswari and discussed the issue of starting Visakhapatnam-Bangkok flight by Thai Airways. Ms. Purandeswari explained about the tourist and economic potential of Visakhapatnam and other districts from West Godavari to Orissa border in the north. She told them that the Vizag – Bangkok flights would be quite viable.

The ambassador Manawapat responded positively and assured that soon a delegation will be sent for studying the feasibility of starting the air travel from Visakhapatnam to Bangkok and further action would follow in due course.
