Dadi lashes out at Ministers

September 17, 2013 12:42 pm | Updated June 02, 2016 12:49 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Even as some 10 lakh Government employees are on the streets forgoing a month’s salary and fighting to keep the State united, ministers at Centre and State and MLAs and MPs from the region are happily enjoying the perks of office giving out lame excuses for not quitting, YSRCP leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao said.

Addressing the media here on Monday, he came down heavily on the Congress elected representatives from the Seemandhra region for not resigning their posts. “The Assembly resolution has no bearing on the formation of a new state and the Congress MLAs and ministers are trying to fool the public saying that they are holding on to their seats to block it in the Assembly,” he said.

He was critical of the Congress leaders from the district trying to monopolise the Non-Political JAC. The Additional Solicitor General was trying to mislead the court by saying that the Centre had not taken a decision on the bifurcation while Finance Minister P. Chidambaram went on record in the Rajya Sabha that the process of bifurcation was on.

Once the Cabinet note was prepared there was no way the Government would go back on it and it was essential that all steps be taken at this juncture to bring pressure on the Centre to hold back and roll back the decision on bifurcation. He wanted all the Congress leaders and ministers from the Seemandhra region to resign and create a constitutional crisis.
