City committee of CPI(M) took out a rally to Collectorate on Friday as part of the State-wide protest against spiralling prices of commodities.

Addressing the dharna organised in front of Collectorate, party’s secretariat member Ch. Narasinga Rao said policies of State and Central governments were responsible for the steep and regular hike in prices of commodities. Party leaders R. Bhagya Lakshmi, R.K.S.V. Kumar, G.S. Rajeswara Rao and others criticised the State and Central governments. Party workers demanded the government to roll back the hike in petrol, diesel and LPG, scrapping of money transfer scheme, eliminate black market and supply of all essential commodities through ration shops.
