Continuing Medical Education on brain diseases

In continuation with the ‘Brain Diseases Awareness Program' jointly conducted by Indus Hospital and The Hindu , a Continuing Medical Education session was conducted at Indus Hospitals on Sunday and was attended by 80 delegates, including eminent neurologists and neuro-surgeons in the State and general physicians of the city.

Dr. B.C.M. Prasad, HoD of Neuro Surgery SVIMS, Tirupathi, who as the chief guest for the session, spoke on the ‘Art of NeuroSurgery' and elaborated on its application in tricky and difficult situations. Dr. K.Vishnu Prasad HoD/Prinicipal AMC Visakhapatnam emphasised on the importance of ‘Planning in Management' of brain tumours.

Dr.V. Satyanarayana, eminent Neurophysician and Chairman of Indus Hospitals, reviewed the progress in the outcome of the neurological diseases, and brain tumours in specific, over the last 3 decades and commented on the recent advances. Dr.T .Suresh and Dr. Atchyuth Gongada Consultant Anasthetist spoke.
