Former Union and State Ministers of Congress on Friday criticised N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, found no threat from Pavan Kalyan, and strongly felt that the party would be back in the play.
Former Union Ministers M.M. Pallamraju and Panabaka Lakshmi, and former State Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy spoke to media here on Friday before leaving for Srikakulam to the launch of party’s Bus Yatra, while another Union Minister K. Chiranjeevi did not make any comment as he had already spoke about his younger brother and his party Jana Sena.
Mr. Pallamraju and others said the party’s strength was its workers and they were intact, while some leaders had left for their personal benefit. He hoped that the party would see a repetition of the 1978 elections and retain the power. The party would have as its agenda the good work done by it and the many welfare schemes being implemented, for the elections. The party would also get good leaders for the elections.
Dig at KiranMr. Kiran Reddy was given a lot of support by the Congress considering his family’s contribution to the party but he ditched it for his personal gains.
Mr. Kiran Reddy was trying to create a false belief among people that bifurcation process would not take place. But the process would certainly take place and the Congress was fighting to get Seemandhra its due, they said.
