Regional Director of Medical and Health Services N.R.V. Somaraju has said that social inclusion is possible only with social community mobilisation and action of civil society organisations.
At a Regional Stakeholders Consultation on Social Exclusion organised by Save the Children in association with Nature and Dhimsa Foundation at the Platinum Jubilee Hall of Andhra University on Friday, he said several communities were socially excluded based on their caste, culture and traditions, occupations, ill health and diseases. He called for concerted action for their social inclusion by empowering them with different strategies.
Dr. Somaraju said that there were several issues that were preventing the vulnerable sections to develop in multi sectoral aspects like economic, social, educational and living conditions.
