The service roads, from Sangam-Sarat junction to Vemana Mandiram, on the both sides of the flyover under construction should be ready by the December-end, Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu told the officials and contractor concerned. He inspected the work on the flyover and the sub-way and wanted the sub-way to be ready for inauguration by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy when he was expected to visit the city during month-end. He told the officials not to allow any projections from the shops onto the service roads.
During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner admonished a flower bouquet seller at Aseelmetta junction and owner of the building in which the shop was located for dumping waste on the road. He made them to remove the waste.
At Dabagardens, he told the officials to improve the drains on either side of the main road and lay a six-foot wide footpath on them at an elevation to avoid parking of vehicles on the footpaths. A cycle track must be marked between the road and footpath. Parking of vehicles must not be allowed on Dabagardens main road, the Commissioner said. Chief Engineer B. Jayarami Reddy, Superintending Engineer M. Venkateswara Rao, and Zonal Commissioner Rajasekhara Reddy were among those who accompanied Mr. Ramanjaneyulu.
