College to organise cultural, tech fest

Students of 230 engineering colleges in the State have been invited. Cultural activities and paper presentations, robotic workshop and competitions would form part of the festival. Prizes worth Rs.3 lakh would be given to the winners.

A cultural and technical festival as part of creating awareness among students on enhancing employability will be organised at Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College here on October 10 to 12.

The event will be conducted jointly by AVIO, promoted by young engineers and Academy of Robotics with the support of students, faculty and management of Bullayya College.

College dean N.S. Sinha and national head of Academy of Robotics Srikanth told reporters on Monday that they extended invitation to students of 230 engineering colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Cultural activities and paper presentations, robotic workshop and competitions would form part of the festival. Prizes worth Rs.3 lakh would be given to the winners.

Robotics and space activist from NASA Ridley Justin S and senior personnel from Mining Department, United States, are expected to take part in the festival. This will be followed by technical sessions and workshops to improve employability levels by Wipro Technologies.

Bullayya College director (academics and administration) K. Bhaskara Reddy, while releasing the poster, welcomed the initiative and spoke about the importance of robotics and other such technical sessions.

No entry fee

There is no entry fee for the festival.

Mr. Sinha said a nominal fee would be charged for those who wanted to undergo training in the specified sessions.
