District Collector V. Sheshadri has been selected to work in the Prime Minister’s Office.

He will be leaving for Delhi in about two weeks, after completion of the ongoing panchayat elections. He took charge as Collector here in August last year.

Talking to reporters on Friday, Mr. Sheshadri said it was a unique experience to work in Visakhapatnam district, which has a different topography — plain area, forest, hilly area, a long coast line, a large city like Visakhapatnam, and rural area — which cannot be found everywhere.

He was happy that a large extent of land could be protected during his short tenure and works costing Rs.500 crore could be taken up in the Agency area.
