CM promises help to acid attack victim

Paediatrician Balaji Bhushan Patnaik, who was injured in an acid attack, has been assured of help from the government for treatment.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu spoke to Collector Pravin Kumar and conveyed the decision. The doctor is undergoing treatment in Mumbai.

The Collector spoke to his relatives there who said they would seek the help, if required.Mr. Pravin Kumar also spoke to Police Commissioner T. Yoganand and asked him to expedite the probe into the attack.

Dr. Patnaik was severely injured in the face after an acid attack on him by unidentified assailants on September 19 in the city.
