Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society hosts a three-day International Innovation Fair 2017 beginning here on Saturday.
Representatives from 30 countries would participate in the event being held in the State for the first time after the bifurcation, APIS Chief Executive Officer V. Valli Kumari told a media conference. President of the International Federation of Inventors' Associations Alireza Rastegar inaugurates the fair at the Gateway Hotel. She said models from all the 30 participating countries would be on display giving a great opportunity to the local companies and start-ups to access international technologies.
Information Technology Minister N. Lokesh will participate in the seminar on technology transfer on Sunday.
On the concluding day on Monday, three prizes - gold, silver and bronze – will be given away by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
President of the Indian Innovators' Association A.S Rao said IFIA memorial medal would be given to the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y.S Chowdary on Monday and the Gandhi Memorial Innovation Award will be presented to Bahrain.
Collector Pravin Kumar said the international event would give the local industry an opportunity to improve its production processes.
