For many years, Andhra University is conducting the entrance test for admission into PG courses ahead of all other State-run universities in the country and also releasing the ranks soon after conducting the last test. This year too, it kept its record and released the ranks lists within 24 hours of conducting the last test (the five-year integrated and dual degree programmes), Prof. Raju said after releasing the results.
Rector A.V. Prasada Rao, Registrar K. Rama Mohana Rao, and Director of AU Directorate of Admissions O. Aniel Kumar were present.
Tests were conducted in 38 subjects in AUCET-2013 and candidates belonging to the BC categories were toppers in 21 tests, including 14 from BC-D category. Open category candidates claimed first ranks in 15 tests. BC candidates were toppers in both tests in AUEET-2013.
Counselling programme for admission into various courses under AUCET-2013 would commence on June 4 with arts courses. Admission into science courses would be from June 16.
There are 13,000 seats available in various courses on the campus and affiliated colleges. AUEET-2013 admissions, to fill the 330 seats, would be from June 22.
“The fee structure has not been changed from that of last year’s,” Prof. Aniel Kumar said. The details would be uploaded on to the university’s website in a few days. The rank cards were being despatched to the candidates. If the rank card was not received, the candidate could download it from the website and attend the counselling session.
Candidates who qualify in the advanced supplementary and instant examinations to be held in May-June were also eligible for admission into PG programmes, he added.
