Sudden change in climate after a long spell of humidity and rise in temperature as a sequel to showers in the evening provided relief to the people here on Thursday.
Almost all the areas of the city experienced the welcome showers. The drizzle brought cheers among the people with many thronging the most sought after RK Beach and other beaches to enjoy the pleasant conditions.
When contacted, a met department official said occasional showers during summer were natural phenomena. Fishermen who are observed conservation period for 61 days expect that good amount of pre-monsoon showers would help them have good catch once they resume fishing on June 15.
